Danny Kortchmar's new cd "Midnight Eleven" is available from cd baby!!! “This cd rocks. It's full of incredible guitar playing and great songs”. Mark Grandfield “Midnight Eleven started taking shape in early 2004, when legendary guitarist, producer Danny Kortchmar joined forces with lifelong friends and collaborators guitarist Zonder Kennedy and singer harmonica player Mark Grandfield. Drawing on their extensive backgrounds in American roots music, they started writing. Drummer Joe Bonadio came on board, and by October they were ready to record. The songs were cut live in the studio with no overdubbing and no bass player. The results draw from the past without living in it”.

• ''Bring 'Em In'', the new Buddy Guy’s album, is due Sept. 20, 2005 via Jive. Recorded in Memphis, Tenn., at Royal Studios, it features the contributions, among others, of “drummer Steve Jordan (who also produced), bassist Willie Weeks, keyboardist Bernie Worrell and guitarist Danny Kortchmar.”. • Carole King announced in this Scott Simon’s interview, aired on July 9, 2005 on www.npr.org, that she is writing her autobiography and that it will be out in a couple of  years. • Danny has recently bought two Greene & Campbell guitars.

• Buddy Guy is currently recording his new studio album due out later this year that is being produced by Steve Jordan (Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Keith Richards, Fabulous Thunderbirds). Musicians collaborating w/ Buddy Guy will include Keb Mo, Danny Kortchmar, Willie Weeks and Bernie Worrell. See this Press Release.

Jackson Browne: His Life and Music by Mark Bego. It’s a new Jackson Browne unauthorized biography and it will be released in Spring. It contains references mostly quoted from Rolling Stone. 

The James Taylor Encyclopedia, An Unofficial Compendium For James Taylor's Biggest Fansby Joel Risberg (the webmaster of James Taylor Online). There are several references to Kortchmar in the Biography and Timeline sections (on the Vineyard, then later in NYC), plus a limited discography for him in the JT Alumni section.

• On January, 28th, Hanson were in Milan in the TRL studios (MTV Italy) to announce that their new album “Underneath” is out. And their single “Penny & Me” produced by Danny Kortchmar is in first place in the TRL chart.

• Danny has played with the Midnight Eleven on the stage of the Cutting Room, in New York, on December 30th, 2004.

He will play again there with Midnight Eleven on  January 6th, 2005.  And thanks to great artist and friend Steve Conte for the info.
